Redesigning.
Artist
One of my favorite albums is *Long. Live. ASAP* by A$AP Rocky and *Crybaby* by Lil Peep. For my project, I challenged myself to create an album design inspired by both artists.
Reimagine
To reimagine what the cover could look like, I needed to not only listen to the albums but also understand them deeply. This was a challenge because they come from very different backgrounds than mine. However, immersing myself in the lyrics and thinking about the artists helped me envision a new design.
Redesign
As a designer, I wanted to pay homage to the original album covers, which is why I incorporated elements like the black and white color scheme and stripes. The middle finger gesture is a nod to A$AP Rocky’s hit single "F**kin' Problems," while I named the album after Lil Peep’s *Crybaby*. Additionally, the collage of New York skyscrapers represents both artists' upbringings in New York State.
